Back to You

This past Christmas, my choir joined with the orchestra and drama team to do a production called "Back to You".
I had a solo in it too!
If you are interested in checking it out, go to this website and click on the December 16th Presentation.  My solo is in around the 43 minute mark.

"sick" day - part 3

I did it ... I called in "sick" again today.
While I'm feeling not too bad.  I had waves of nausea wash over me when I thought of going into the office today.
So, I'm home again ... hanging out with The Boy.

He's currently "reading" a book
which he now wants me to actually read the right words .... be back!

edit:
He changed his mind and wanted to watch Sesame Street instead.  Grover is singing! lol

Before lunch we'll play with some playdoh perhaps!

Lunch ... Thomas Train ... then nap time.

"sick" day - part 2

It was a good rest of the day.
The boy had a nap instead of just a rest time this afternoon.  The house was quiet.  I had a nap too.
And it was wonderful!
Al came home a little early and we had supper together then chatted and played with Caleb until bedtime.
It was such a good "mental health" day that I'm seriously considering another one for tomorrow!
... no ... seriously! :)

"sick" day

I'm home today on a "sick" day.  I like to call it a "mental health" day.
I went to the office ... but something I saw in my office made me turn around and leave.  It doesn't matter what it was ... it's mostly that I work with some inconsiderate unthinking people and I couldn't handle it today.
I picked up my briefcase, snack bag and purse and left.  I'm always the first one in ... so no one even knew I was there.
I'll see how today goes and decide if tomorrow will be another day off.  I seriously can.not.wait for my maternity leave to start!  Only 6 weeks to go!

So, I'm hanging out with the little boy today instead - which is so much more fun!

We've played on the Thomas The Train website, done 2 big floor puzzles, played on our respective electronic devices (LeapPad for him, new smartphone app for me) and now I'm catching up on some computer stuff while he distracts me with random songs from his LeapPad.
Soon I'll break out some water paints that he hasn't tried before and we'll try that out before lunch time.
This afternoon he'll watch Thomas and then head off for a rest time for the majority of the afternoon.  That will give me lots of "me" time.  Maybe I'll work on some art for the baby room or clean up this office area.

Friends

In the past 2 weeks, two of my friends have confided in me for different health reasons.
Both are pretty big things ... one potentially life threatening ... one definitely life changing.  Both are not sharing their news with the world yet until more information is available.
I find myself distracted with how my friends are doing.  In the midst of *everything on my plate right now ... all I want to do is talk with them and with God about everything in their world.
I'm so thankful that they are both God's children and I know that my prayers are being heard.  God knows the roads they need to travel.  I'm thankful for His guidance ... and that I can be a part of their journey.

30 weeks!

It's so hard to believe that I'm 30 weeks already!
Time has just flown by.  I'm excited about baby coming and we're busily making changes in our house to make it a home for 4 instead of 3.
Some scheduling things?
6 weeks until work audit
8 weeks until I'm DONE work and start my vacation before baby comes.
10 weeks until baby is due to come.
Somehow saying 30 weeks pregnant is so much further along than 29 weeks!
